What is nuln oil?

Nuln Oil is a type of shade paint used in miniature painting and is primarily manufactured by Citadel. It's a black, glossy, highly-pigmented wash that is used to bring out the details of a miniature and help create contrast. It’s a popular choice among miniature painters due to its ability to create shadows and depth in crevices and recessed areas.
